Meet the Hart Sextuplets Leave a comment

Happy March! Around NE Ohio the sun is out, the snow is gone, and the birds are chirping. Sure, I have a dead willow tree that fell in November still taking up space that we need to deal with, but I’m full of hope for the new season. It’s been a rough start to the year for sure. How about you? How are things going?

I have a question. Do you remember the McCaughey septuplets and Ann Curry interviewing them for their birthday? I remember being fascinated by this family and their dynamics. In fact, they are a huge motivation behind my new series, Surrendering Harts. My overall question for the series is how would a big family cope after a tragedy?

In this series, they are sextuplets and each Hart sibling will have their own book. Jordyn’s up first, in birth order. her story, Anchoring Hearts, should release this spring. I say should because I have encountered set back after set back trying to get back to it after my mom’s death. I think finally things are calming down and I can finish up. I sure appreciate the prayers on this!

Can two go-getters surrender their need to control and find a happily-ever-after?

Jordyn Bell Hart succeeds in everything she does. Her promotion to morning show co anchor blossoms her career in the same way her mother’s work did. Jordyn keeps tabs on her family and enjoys helping them grow. When life around Jordyn starts to change, can she surrender her desire to control?

Spencer Collins knows how to balance a busy life. He has his work as a reporter, his time caregiving for his grieving father, and looking out for his little brother. When he learns he’s the new co anchor of a morning show with Jordyn Hart, can he handle working with a celebrity who brings a lot of challenges to life on and off the set?

Jordyn’s taken it upon herself to be in control from a young age, and that’s hard to let go of when it’s all you know. Anchored Hearts is full of conflict for her and Spencer Collins for that very reason. I’m really excited about Anchored Hearts, and I hope you are as well.

RESTORING HEARTS is the tentative story for Ryan Hart, sextuplet #2. Ryan’s the loner, the one to reject going to college and went into the Navy instead. Now he’s back in the area, still resisting the family togetherness. He bought a house that is a lot more work than he planned on. Receiving help isn’t easy for him, especially when there are secrets attached. I can’t wait to dive in with this one.

Every big family needs a goof-off, right? Evan Hart loves being part of the Hart Six because it gives him purpose. Evan’s entrepreneurial spirit keeps him and his siblings in the spotlight, and often brings conflict. When Evan gets to tell his story, he’s in over his head and help will be hard to find. But of course with romance, it’s never impossible.

My husband doesn’t come from a family of sextuplets, but there are six. He recalls the siblings as the “olders” and the “youngers.” In this series minutes might separate them, but there are stark differences between the first three, and the last Hart sextuplets.

James and Kelly: These two might as well be twins. Since their tragedy (covered in the free preview,) they have been inseparable. They are adults now, and it’s time for them to find their identity and move on. Easier said than done with these two.

The last sextuplet is Paige Hart. Paige has carried decades of grief that she’s never fully dealt with, or, more accurately, deflected with unhealthy choices. Her secrets are out and she’s left the Finger Lakes for healing and redemption.

I’m in love with this family, flaws and all. I can’t wait for you to meet them—and their counterparts in each romance.

As I announce the introduction of the Hart family, I’m also sharing that this is my last post. As you know, the last months have been chaotic with my caregiving for my mom out-of-state and then her death and settling her business affairs. It has been very hard on me and my family. I’m behind on writing, and I wanted to make sure readers received fresh content, and prayerfully felt it was time to let a new IR blogger come in so you could have that. I started with this blog as a reader, and I will remain that. If you’d like to keep in touch, I hope you will. Being here as a blogger has been an honor and a pleasure. Here’s how you can find me:
