Nate Monson was gorgeous, obnoxiously wealthy, and a player.
He was also the person who could destroy my world with a single decision.
I walked into that bar looking for him.
He saw me. I saw him.
The chemistry sizzled between us, but no.
I hated Nate Monson.
I hated him with everything in me, even though my body did not.
It didn’t matter.
Nothing I wanted mattered.
He thought I wanted to get laid.
What I wanted was for him to disappear.
But first, I had to tell him that he had a daughter.

My word 🤗 what a read.. I knew this one was going to be a bang because Hello!!! It’s coming of Tijan who is a brilliant author. She just has a way of writing a story that captivates you and keeps you turning the pages. Also this book is a spin-off from the Fallen crest series which was the bomb and my very first Tijan read.
I liked a lot of things in this book but what I LOVED most about it was the bond the Fallen Crest Family shared. Talk about a family bond between people that are mostly not even related by blood. I really admired the bond those boys share and how well their significant others fit into their little family. I would love to have a friendship like that in future where I call and everyone comes running. I also would love that kind of relationship between my siblings, we are already super super close but there is just this special bond the fallen Crest family share that I want. And mind you they have all been through some tough shit but they came out of it together and stronger than ever. I really urge you to read the fallen crest family series 🤗.
Nate, Nate, Nate man I love that dude. He’s officially one of newest book boyfriend, I’ll probably write a post on my top ten book boyfriends sometime soon. The way this guy just took to the father role 🥺 be still my romantic heart. It was just so, I don’t know what word to use right now. This guy is the definition of a Good Guy and I’m a sucker for Good guys. I love bad boys but the Good guys have a special place in my heart ❤️. Also, The way he cared for Quincy just made me melt. I loved how he protected her but didn’t control her, how he stood beside her even when she was a nervous wreck and his love for his Family. I could go on and on about this dude.
As for Quincy, well that girl had such a messed up childhood. I can’t even imagine growing up with a father like hers and being so alone. I’m so glad Nova and Nate came into her life and of course the rest of the fallen crest family. She really came out looking brighter in the end though the journey was a really tough one for her. Even though she didn’t have a gaggle of people around her she did have people who cared about her even before Nate’s entrance into her life only she didn’t see it because of her father’s manipulations.
Last night someone asked me why I read romance novels, at first I didn’t know how to reply but as soon as I read this book, the answer came right to me . I read romance not only because of the sexy scences, the hot guys and the happily ever after ending but because of the journey in between, the characters backstories and the lessons I learn from each romance novel I pick up to read. Those who don’t read romance don’t understand why we Loyal romance fans love it, some even see romance as not a real genre but actually I don’t give a flying pig ass what those people think about my choice of literature. I know why I read romance and it’s because of these kind of the books . The ones that teach me things, take me on a journey and of course make me feel a range of emotions.
Kudos to Tijan for a job well done. I’ll certainly be watching out for her next release. I’m going back to watching bridgerton now, man I love it 🥺 only 1 episode left. Till next time 💋.
