The Cabin by Jasinder Wilder
One year ago, I buried my husband.
One year ago, I held his hand and said goodbye.
Now I spend most of my days lost somewhere between trying to remember every smallest detail of our lives, and trying to forget it all. I fill my hours with work until I’m too exhausted to remember him, to feel anything at all.
One year, 365 days—and then one knock at my door changes everything. A letter from him, a last request, a secret will:
My dearest Nadia,
Trust me, my love. One last time, trust me. Sometimes the epilogue to one story is the beginning of another.
My My My what a book. This book certainly took me on a rollercoaster ride. So much emotions in one single book. I’m not ashamed to say that I shed a few tears.
Nadia and her husband had the greatest love story. But tragedy struck putting an early end to their story. But Nadia’s story doesn’t end there, No because Adrian is still taking care of her from his grave and his last wish gives Nadia another shot at happiness.
I knew this book was going to be an emotional one, but it was so much more than I imagined. From the very first page we know that Adrian’s death is inevitable but I still wasn’t prepared for it. Nadia pain, heartbreak , grief felt so real that couldn’t help tearing up. Adrian’s love for Nadia is beyond words. He took care of her even in death. It was so amazing how he planned every detail and how well he knew her.
A year after her husbands passing, Nadia moves into the cabin bought by her dead husband which was his last wish. There she meets Nathan who has also lost someone in his life. Nathan and Nadia’s connection was instant and He was so patient with her. Adrian certainly knew what she needed.
There is nothing to hate about this book. The cabin is filled with pain and heartbreak. It’s a story of loss and redemption. It kind of represents the words “ when one door closes another door opens”. Nadia and Adrian’s story ended but Another love story begun with Her and Nathan and it was just has amazing. I cried, smiled , cheered and finished this book in one sitting. The characters were captivating and the story was beautiful.
If you are a fan of second chance romance and tearjerkers then you’ll certainly love this book by jasinder wilder.
